El Lokanda

Where Fact & Fiction Intertwine

El Lokanda is

A novel that deals with the hospitality industry in Egypt. The events take place in a hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and four main characters zoom in on terrorism, extremism, interracial marriages for immigration purposes, Orfi marriages in the resort, the heterosexual and homosexual relations between Egyptian men and women – among themselves and with tourists, and racism by examining the nature of expats that work in hotels and how they adapt to cultural differences.
